The DSE assessor training pack is designed to upgrade the DSE assessors knowledge, it is based in part on the very popular and successful Advanced DSE assessor course run by enricoSmog ergonomic practitioners.

The package consists of the following

  • Key facts about the body the assessor should know (animatic)
  • How to do a standard assessment (film / animation)
  • What to do when workers report discomfort or pain? Assessors are introduced to a visual checklist, and animatic going over the different parts of the body (neck, upper back, upper limbs, lower limbs, pelvis)
  • Video of how ergonomic products work including anatomy of a chair, how to measure a person up, and different types of products

DSE assessor pack is designed to upgrade a DSE assessor knowlege and expertise. The material can be used stand alone or integrated into a companies Continuing Professional Development programme,

RSI prevention pack

Far too many DSE users are given insufficient information in relation to RSI / WRULD prevention. Yet it is a legal requirement to ensure that DSE users are given sufficient training and information to prevent risk of injury.

The pack consists of 

  • A PowerPoint training slide showing RSI / WRULDs, how to set up the workstation correctly and how to adopt the correct posture for (neck, shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrists, thumb and fingers). This is provided with speaker notes. The slide show is for 1st level training and awareness


  • A short training film (Quicktime movie) can be used as a training aid for the DSE user to educate them about the need of correct posture and desktop layout etc so that the risk of MSDs can be minimized. The film can be used as 2nd level training where the DSE user can refer to this as a visual reference to check his or her posture and layout


  • Information sheets showing the correct position of the upper limbs, (shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrists, thumb and fingers) with reminders how to use DSE correctly. The information sheets can be used as a visual reference to remind DSE users to check his or her posture and ensure that the desk layout is correct.

The pack comes in electronic format  and has unlimited use per organisation
